Visual Critical Discourse Analysis Of Animated Movie Hotel Transylvania 2

Abstract

This paper is an attempt at visual analysis of the animation movie Hotel Transylvania 2 in the light of Post Modern theory and postcyberpunk situation. Traditionally, in the Western politics and culture a kind of antagonism has been attached with machines because the modern technological developments have bought in to question the longstanding monopoly of the humanism. But in the postcyberpunk not only the union of machine with humans has been celebrated but  rather it has become an integral part of human existence . Technology is invisibly involved into physical and social life of humans.  In this analysis three genres of horror, postmodernism, and postcyberpunk have been linked to trace how technology has become an integral part of human existence, and how it has been possible for humans to undertake the most difficult challenges with the aid of technology.
