The Successful Determinants Of Islamic Banking And Customer Satisfaction In Libya: An Empirical Study
Abstract
The Islamic banking system seems to be thriving and robust in the face of globalisation in the financial sector, and it appears to be coexisting peacefully with the conventional banking system. Despite the fact that the Libyan authorities have decided to shift completely to an Islamic financial system, there has been no palpable changes in the improvement of customer knowledge. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted to find out what factors affect the adoption of the Islamic banking in Libya and the relationship of these factors with customer satisfaction. The population consisted of adult respondents with banking experience from various groups of demographic, different employment backgrounds and education levels within a high population area. The results of this study have successfully provided empirical evidence of the relationship between service quality, government support, Shariah-compliance, religion support and pricing. The results and findings of this research have managed to provide very useful insights in Islamic banking industry and ways for further improvement.
