Abstract

This study aims to answer hypotheses including 1) childhood welfare affects altruism; 2) the welfare of childhood affects rationality; 3) the welfare of children affects the efficiency of consumptive behavior; 4) the well-being of childhood affects the effectiveness of production behavior; 5) the welfare of children affects subjective well-being; 6) altruism affects the efficiency of consumptive behavior; 7) altruism affects subjective well-being; 8) rationality affects the effectiveness of productive behavior; 9) rationality affects subjective well-being; 10) the efficiency of consumptive behavior affects subjective well-being; 11) the effectiveness of productive behavior affects subjective well-being; 12) the welfare of childhood affects subjective well-being through altruism; 13) the welfare of childhood affects subjective well-being through rationality; 14) the welfare of childhood affects subjective well-being through the efficiency of consumptive behavior; and 15) childhood well-being affects subjective well-being through the effectiveness of productive behavior. The method used is quantitative, with explanatory research to determine the relationship between variables. The population of this study is all economics teachers at the secondary education level (SMA / MA / SMK / MAK Public and Private) in Malang Raya (Malang City, Batu City, and Malang Regency), which amounts to 970 people. The sampling technique was a proportional random sampling of 187 people. The data collection techniques used in this study used the questionnaire method. Data analysis with structural equation modeling and software used Linear Structural Relations (LISREL) for windows ver. 8.6. Of the 15 (fifteen) hypotheses in this study, 3 (three) hypotheses are not significantly proven to be true. Theoretically, the hypotheses are correct, but in testing did not prove true. It happens because the hypothesis is proven to be true. This research specifically applies only to the target of economics teachers at the secondary education level, whose characteristics differ from other targets, for example, ordinary people or other professional groups that lack adequate knowledge of economics.
