Investigation on Strengthening the Management of Sino-foreign Joint Ventures in Townships in Changshu City

Abstract

In recent years, Changshu City, Jiangsu Province has vigorously developed an export-oriented economy, actively utilized foreign capital, and established Sino-foreign joint ventures by grafting existing township enterprises. By September 1991, 93 township Sino-foreign joint ventures had been approved and established in the city, accounting for 85% of the city's total; the total investment was US$120,959,700, of which US$49,193,800 was contracted to utilize foreign capital, accounting for 80% and 80% of the city's total.
