The Influence Of Tri Hita Karana And The Role Of The Government On Social Entrepreneurship Orientation And Business Performance Of Waste Bank In Denpasar

Abstract

The problem of waste pollution is a very serious problem because it can damage the environment and have an impact on health. Denpasar, as the capital city of Bali province, has the highest volume of waste in Bali Province. Waste processing, such as the Waste Bank, can solve the problem of increasing the volume of waste. This study aims to analyze: 1) The influence of Tri Hita Karana and the role of the government on the social entrepreneurship orientation of the Waste Bank in Denpasar; 2) The influence of Tri Hita Karana, the role of government and social entrepreneurship orientation on the business performance of the Waste Bank in Denpasar; 3) Analyzing the mediating role of social entrepreneurship orientation on the influence of Tri Hita Karana and the role of the government on the business performance of the Waste Bank in Denpasar. This study uses a quantitative method with an associative approach and using a saturated sampling method, with 136 people who own the Waste Bank in Denpasar as respondents. A questionnaire with a Likert scale with five scales and interview guidelines was used as a data collection instrument, which was analyzed by SEM-PLS. The results showed that: 1) Tri Hita Karana and the role of the government have a significant effect on the social entrepreneurship orientation of the Waste Bank in Denpasar; 2) Tri Hita Karana and social entrepreneurship orientation have a significant effect on the business performance of the Waste Bank in Denpasar; the role of the government has no significant effect on the business performance of the Waste Bank in Denpasar; 3) social entrepreneurship orientation partially mediates the influence of Tri Hita Karana and fully mediates the government's role on the business performance of the waste bank. Based on the results of this study, several things can be suggested, namely, the government should increase its role, especially as a facilitator. A cultural-based social approach can also be taken by the government to the community to participate in protecting the environment as the implementation of Tri Hita Karana. The social entrepreneurship orientation of waste bank business actors needs to be strengthened in order to formulate a systematic business plan.
