Life Satisfaction Among Elderly In Institutional And Community Settings: A Comparative Study From District Sargodga

Elderly is inevitable universal phenomenon that alludes to physical, cognitive, social, financial changes and has all along engaged the concentration of the civilized world. This transformation, changes the familial, societal and monetary structures that has diminished the reliance which has given quality of bonds among ages, customary feeling, obligation and commitment of youthful age towards their more established elderly is being disintegrated. These progressions have made a vacuum for establishing institutional care sector which mirror the request and capacity, to buy and are seen as a critical care alternative. Keeping in consideration the importance of the elderly, study concentrates on comparison of life satisfaction among institutional and community settings from district Sargodha. Primary data was collected through purposive sampling techniques and SPSS-21; smart PLS-4 was applied for data analysis. Results of the study revealed that the individuals from community setting have more satisfaction with livings, livelihood and health conditions as compared to institutional settings. Findings also endorsed the assumption and highlighted that community settings has more significant positive impacts on life satisfaction among elderly.
