Exploring the perceptions of primary school teachers about strategies and practices of inclusive education in Punjab

Abstract

The study explored the perceptions of primary school teachers about strategies and practices of inclusive education in Punjab. A Cross sectional survey research design was used. Hundred and ninety eight primary school teachers (99 male and 99 female) from Gujranwala and Lahore were selected as sample of by using simple random sampling technique. Data was collected by a questionnaire developed by researcher which contains statements regarding inclusive education strategies and practices. Findings of the research study showed that primary school teachers in general classroom use inclusive education strategies and practices for teaching but they did not know the specific terms used for inclusive education strategies and practices.
