Abstract

Trade unions play an important role in achieving welfare goals in terms of labor wages, among others, by negotiating collective labor agreements as a means to resolve industrial relations issues and reaching agreements on the sharing of rights and responsibilities among worker. Workplace disputes can be minimized with the help of trade unions, which serve as conduits of worker expectations and demands in the name of protecting their rights and interests in accordance with the law.  The research method used by the author is This normative legal study relies heavily on secondary data collected from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources. to examine the involvement of trade unions in wage-related industrial relations disputes from the point of view of legal protection theory. The role of trade unions in wage-related industrial relations disputes is that trade unions mediate wage disputes to provide protection, defend rights, and improve welfare for worker and their families. They mediate with employers and implement legal measures to ensure the mental and physical safety of worker in wages.
