Abstract

The purpose of this research topic is to further develop the theoretical and methodological basis of information security protection on the basis of comprehensively studying the development of the registration system in the current stage of information system development and deeply studying foreign experience in this area. The purpose of the study is to analyze the scientific approach to the definition of "information security" and "information protection" in electronic registers and to make a comparative analysis of the main methods and mechanisms of information security protection in Ukraine and some other countries. Conceptual and comparative analysis of information protection legislation and its main protection methods in some major foreign countries.

The article pays special attention to the peculiarities of information security, namely, information protection in certain foreign countries with a view to studying and implementing the best information security methods in the practice of our State. The authors prove that the new model of information protection should take into account the development of an effective state policy on information protection in electronic registers in accordance with EU legal standards; establishment of the Information Protection Commissioner; and, in accordance with EU standards, introduction of personal data protection specialists at enterprises. Since the current system of information protection in Ukraine does not guarantee the protection of privacy and personal data of a person and a citizen, the co-authors of the article propose to amend the current legislation to bring it into line with EU legal standards. The article also proposes a new model of information security in Ukraine, taking into account the experience of foreign countries.
