Abstract

Mutual fund is one of the fastest growing sectors in India and it plays a significant role in the Indian capital market. Investment in mutual funds is increasing and the mutual fund industry is attracting many investors, thinking beyond the traditional investments avenues. Indian financial markets have witnessed the introduction of large number of innovative investment products. These products cater to the specific needs of different classes of investors. Equity linked saving schemes is among the prominent investments option which offers tax rebates to investors under Income Tax Act, 1961. It is an open ended scheme. This study aims at looking for the factors affecting purchase decision of a working woman for ELSS investments in Indore region. The study would help the fund houses to gauge the areas of improvement to increase their market share and help investors in clearing their doubts and confusion if any.
