Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the Remote Indigenous Community Development Model ( KAT ) which includes human, business, environmental and institutional development, as well as the role of the Ketapang Regency Government after the empowerment program. This research method is qualitative by digging information and information from various sources (informants) purposively. From the research, the supervisors can focus on); (a) people (improving the skills of KAT residents, quality of education and health of KAT residents' children); (b) business (permanent rice fields, rejuvenation of superior rubber seeds, and rearing of pigs, native chickens and vegetable crop cultivation); (c) environment (environmental hygiene movement, and productive tree planting); (d) institutional ( cooperation in expanding the marketing network for agricultural products) through village-owned enterprises (Bumdes), and private parties at the sub-district level).
