Abstract

Kalimantan is very familiar with rivers, some of them also carry out daily activities on the river, such as a floating market that can be used as a national tourism development in the future. This study aims to develop a tourism management strategy for the Siring Floating Market, Banjarmasin City. The respondents of this research are local government, traders, and tourists. Primary data comes from interviews, surveys, and questionnaires. Then secondary data comes from documents from informants, literature from the internet, and scientific journals. Data analysis uses the concept of SWOT analysis to look at 4 (four) sides, namely in terms of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and the last is threats. The results of the analysis show that based on internal factors, There are 7 strengths and 3 weaknesses. As for internal factors, there are 5 elements of opportunity and 2 elements of threats. Based on this analysis, this tourist location is able to become an alternative tourist attraction in supporting an integrated and sustainable tourism development program.
