Some Issues in Detrerming Crime for Obtaining Property by Fraud in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Abstract

A crime related to the appropriation of property is a crime that is regulated relatively early in the history of criminal legislation in Vietnam. Through the amendments and supplements to the Penal Code, the provisions for this crime have been changed to suit each historical period. In the Criminal Code 2015 (amended and supplemented in 2017), Obtaining property by fraud is provided for in Article 174. However, in practice, the criminal determination of Obtaining property by fraud in Ho Chi Minh City in recent years still has some issues to concern.
