Abstract

It is said to be the basic foundation of learning and a major contributing factor of developing and growing which leads the individual to full maturity or self-actualization. The study aimed to explore and gain insights on the experiences of trainers and trainees on the implementation of the community-based training in areas with unstable peace and order. The qualitative descriptive research design was used for this study. It focuses in describing the experiences of trainers, trainees (completers and competent) and trainees (non-completers and non-competent) who attended the Community-based training in areas with unstable peace and order in Buldon, Maguindanao. As trainers, most of them experienced security concerns, difficulties of schedule and complicated situations. As trainees (completer and competent), the negative experiences they considered were geographical constraints, cultural barriers, and personal hindrances. As trainees (non-completer and non-competent), most of them experienced hardships including overflowing river, bad, poor, and impassable road. There should be strong collaboration with the local government units and non-government units in order to provide an organized defense to secure the training area. When fear is eradicated, learning will be in its full bloom.
