Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the effect of financial knowledge on financial behavior (2) the effect of financial knowledge on financial attitudes (3) the effect of financial attitudes on financial behavior, and (4) the mediating effect of financial attitudes on the connection between financial knowledge and financial behavior. The population of this study were teachers of University Swadaya Gunung Jati Cirebon Indonesia, with a total of 92 teachers and a sample of 48 teachers. This study uses a quantitative approach and this type of research uses survey methods. The data analysis technique in this study uses the PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis model with the help of SmartPLS ver 3.0 software for Windows. Based on the results of the study, it shows that: (1) financial knowledge has a positive and significant effect on financial behavior, (2) financial knowledge has a positive and significant effect on financial attitudes, (3) financial attitude positive and significant effect on financial behavior, (4) financial attitudes can mediate the connection between knowledge financial behavior with financial behavior.
