Solutions to overcome culture shock for Vietnamese students when studying abroad

Finding the best destination to study abroad is simply one aspect of the experience, studying abroad is a journey that is both exciting and enlightening. Today's first-year student could be anticipating their new adventures, but tomorrow they can awaken feeling empty and realize how alone they are in a different country. These sensations of emptiness and unexplained melancholy are referred to as cultural shock. One of the most frequent examples of counterculture is when students are suddenly overwhelmed by their new surroundings and feel uneasy about being in a rhythm that is different from their own. When communicating with others who are not of their lineage, pupils lack confidence. When there is no shared interest between the students and people around them, the students feel alone, disoriented, and under pressure. Students wish to go back home because it will allow them to be safe there and be a part of a neighborhood they are certain they belong in. This study identifies the causes of international students' cultural resistance and offers suggestions for how to overcome it.
