The Influence Of Work Motivation And Work Environment On Lecturers' Performance In Higher Vocational Education (Polytechnic) In Bali

This development research aims to determine work environment and work motivation have a direct positive effect on the performance of lecturers in vocational higher education (Polytechnic) in Bali. The design of this research is ex-post-facto research because this research aims to examine events that have occurred and trace them to find back out the factors that can lead to events. The population of this study consisted of four vocational tertiary institutions in Bali, namely (1) Ganesha Guru Polytechnic, (2) National Polytechnic, (3) International Polytechnic, (4) Denpasar Ministry of Health Polytechnic with a total of 150 lecturers as subjects. The results of data analysis show a direct relationship between work motivation and lecturer performance as indicated by a coefficient of 0.496 with a t statistic of 7.729 > 1.96 and a p-value of 0.000 <0.05 (significant). It can be said that there is a direct influence of work motivation on lecturer performance. This means that increased work motivation will lead to increased lecturer performance. The results of the analysis show that there is a direct relationship between the work environment and lecturer performance as indicated by the coefficient number 0.490 t statistic 9.243 > 1.96 and p values 0.000 <0.05 (significant). It is concluded that the work environment has a direct positive and significant effect on work performance. This means that an increase in the work environment can lead to increased work performance.
