Abstract

The primary goal of this research was to investigate the present state of lean manufacturing in small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in Karachi, Pakistan. The survey was distributed to manufacturing businesses.  SPSS 22.0 software was used to calculate the average mean score for each component, and analysis methods were run to assess the findings. Big firms comprehend and use lean tools and processes more effectively than SMEs. Several tools, like as 5S, Poka-yoke, and TPM, were discovered to have a comparable level of application in numerous manufacturing organizations of varying sizes. Sindh province's SMEs have faced constant pressure to lower operational costs and accelerate delivery of products. Opponents are outperforming it, and it must stay up. Clients frequently complain about their inability to respond quickly and sufficiently fluctuations in need. The production crew, on the other hand, is at a lost. SMEs are currently employing a variety of methodologies in their technical efforts. Sadly, such techniques are not effective to improve the productivity of businesses. Since a longer duration, key operational measures have been unchanged. The company's executive staff is perplexed by this issue. They are fully aware that the organization's operational productivity must increase quickly. If this is not done, the company will lose its viability. So, the following study conducted to solve all the problems effectively.
