Abstract

A descriptive type of research design was used to assess the disaster management pattern in Balochistan based on gender responsive prospects. Kalat and KillaSaifullah were selected randomly by using the systematic sampling technique (Kalat=50 respondents) and (KillaSaifullah=50 respondents). Fitz-Gibbon and Morris (1987) table was used. Information was broken down by putting on SPSS. Pearson Chi-Square technique was applied based on point-5 level.  Results show that More than half (53%) of the female age category dropped to 19 to 30 years. Most (49%) of respondents achieved the Madrasa or religious education. Majority (75%) of females was married. Vast majority (84%) of females preferred the joint family system. Pearson Chi-Square technique was conducted. Pearson Chi-Square was shown to have highly differences observed in Kalat respondents. While non-significant differences were detected to perceived in KillaSaifullah region respondents based on (p ≤0.05) alpha level. Therefore, it should be recommended that provincial authorities and NGOs should assist the vulnerable females during the disaster so as to enhance the socio-economic condition of females. Disaster risk management and disaster risk reduction initiatives based on gender prospects should be promoted at district level so as to develop the survival skills of females.
