The Trend of International Trade and the Countermeasures of my country's Foreign Trade
Abstract
Since the implementation of reform and opening up, my country's foreign trade has achieved rapid development. In 1988, the total import and export trade amounted to 80.5 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.88 times compared with 20.6 billion US dollars in 1978, and the average growth rate over the ten years was 14.5%; among which the export value was 40.6 billion US dollars, an increase of 3.1 times compared with 9.7 billion US dollars in 1978, with an average annual growth rate of 14.5%. The growth rate was 15.2%, which greatly exceeded the average annual growth rate of 8.2% in the world export trade volume during the same period, and achieved remarkable achievements.
