As is known, political participation in elections is often associated with the percentage of voter attendance at polling stations (TPS). This level of political participation is frequently linked to the legitimacy of the election results, specifically the amount of vote support that the election's winner obtains. The legitimacy of the election results is directly proportional to the degree of participation in the election. The first-time voter is an interesting subgroup of voters that warrants additional observation and investigation. Voters who are going to participate in an election for the very first time are referred to as "beginner voters." The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of political involvement of first-time voters in elections, as well as the factors that encourage political involvement of first-time voters in elections and the factors that discourage political involvement of first-time voters in elections. A qualitative approach with a descriptive study method that is supported by relevant research outcomes was chosen as the writing method for this journal paper's research methodology. It is envisaged that first-time voters will split their time between studying and taking part in political activities, which will allow them to actively participate in political processes.
