Impact of Organizational Justice on Job Performance among Teachers of Private Sector Universities, Pakistan: Authentic Leadership and Psychological Capital as Mediators
Abstract
The objective of this study was to explore the mediating effect of authentic leadership (AL) and psychological capital (PC) between organizational justice (OJ) and job performance (JP). Data were collected from faculty members of private sector universities of four provinces of Pakistan: Balochistan, Panjab, Sindh and KP. Structure equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses. Data were collected through JP Scale adapted from Goodman and Svyantek (1999), AL Scale adapted from Walumbwa et al. (2008), OJ Scale adapted from Niehoff and Moorman (1993) and PC Scale adapted from Luthans, Avey, Avolio, Norman, and Combs (2006). The results showed a significant relationship between OJ and JP (r=0.546), OJ and PC (r=0.357), OJ and AL (r=0.554), PC and JP (r=0.456) and AL and JP (r=0.668). Both AL and PC partially mediated the relationship between OJ and JP.
