Multidimensional poverty measures deprivation in various socio-economic dimensions. Measurements in previous studies have shown that the effort approach can capture deficiencies in the health, education, and quality of life dimensions. However, these measurements measure materialistic deficiencies. This study aims to measure the multidimensional poverty index with an Islamic spiritual approach within the maqasid sharia framework. Measurements were made on samples in 514 districts in Indonesia. The measurement results found that MSMPI in Indonesia was at an average of 0.102, with the highest poverty rate experienced by districts in eastern Indonesia, such as Papua (0.216) and NTT (0.208). This result is expected to contribute to setting targets for the distribution of social assistance in poverty eradication programs by Indonesia's government and philanthropic institutions.
